Welcome to the 2016 NYEC Annual Forum!
NYEC is pleased to open registration for its Annual Forum, which will be held October 18-19 at the Hamilton Hotel in downtown Washington, D.C. Register here.
Please join us in Washington, D.C., on October 18-19 for the NYEC Annual Forum. A joint session with the Opportunity Youth Network (OYN) on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 18, will cover key federal policy issues, such as WIOA implementation and the implications of a new presidential administration for youth employment. A day-long session on Wednesday, October 19, will focus on lifting up emerging and proven practices in the youth workforce development field, solving real challenges faced by NYEC members, and exploring how best to help opportunity youth achieve their potential.
Input from NYEC members has driven the creation of a highly interactive agenda, which will touch on popular topics, such as trauma-informed care and setting opportunity youth on career pathways. We also are pleased to share that David Johns, Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans, has agreed to open the Forum.
NYEC attendees also have the opportunity to participate in the high-profile Opportunity Youth Network (OYN) Annual Summit on October 17-18. If you are interested in attending the OYN meeting, please indicate interest when you register for the Forum and you will receive an invitation. You will be responsible for registering for the OYN Summit separately after you receive the invitation.
