In May 2013, NYEC submitted letters to the Approrpiations Committees, and Labor, Health & Human Services, and Education Appropriations Subcommittees withi the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate. These letters advocated for youth job training and education programming within the Fiscal Year (FY) 2014 budget.
On May 21, 2013 the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee released it's funding amounts for each of the Appropriations Subcommittees so that they can move forward with establishing the programmatic funding levels within their repsective sectors.
