No Budget, No Pay Act of 2013 (H.R. 325)
This bill temporarily suspends the debt ceiling limitation on the federal government until MAy 18, 2013. The bill does not actually raise the debt ceiling, rather it suspends the rule ordering that the debt ceiling can not be breached. This action effectively prevents the country from defaulting on its financial obligations. Besides raising the debt ceiling, H.R. 325 also delays the salaries to legislators in the House and Senate until their respective chamber agrees to a budget for Fiscal Year 2014.
